A couple of mornings ago, Josh was playing with Taylor in his crib and he excitedly called me to come and join him.  Taylor had just lit up his face with his first full smile and of course I missed it! He smiled a few more times that day – at our neighbor, at his mobile but not at me. I kept teasing him and tickling him so that I could get my first smile. When it finally came later in the day I was overjoyed. It just melted my heart.

Now I’ve spent the past couple of days trying to capture it on camera. That has been a little challenging because he always seems to do it when I turn the camera off. But I’ve finally succeeded. Here is a short video of one of his wonderful smiles.

I also captured a great series of photos using Josh’s Nikon. My camera doesnt shoot fast enough to capture the different phases of a smile.
