Thrush and Yummy Hands

As some of you already know Taylor and I a working our way through an case of thrush. For those of you who don’t know what thrush is, it’s basically a yeast infection of the mouth that can also be passed on to the mother. I can definitely attest to the fact that it isn’t one of the pleasant parts of parenting. But Taylor and I are both on medication for two weeks and we are already seeing and feeling a vast improvement.

Now onto the more fun and developmental part of this post. Taylor is now finding his hands on his own and trying to use them to comfort himself. It’s been quite entertaining to watch because more often than not his hands wind up somewhere other than his mouth. He gets his eyes and his nose a lot. But when his hands get to his mouth he is a very happy camper. Now he’s getting his hands to his mouth and all slobery.  The thumb and fingers are still a work in progress but he gets them in for some furious sucking every now and then.
