Well today was an exciting day! Mommy took me to the YMCA and for the first time she didn’t leave me in chid watch… she took me to class with her. And even better, class was in the pool! I love water so Mommy decided to sign me up for the Shrimp & Kipper swim class for babies 6 months – 18 months old. I was the youngest baby there by 3 months. We kicked and splashed and had a great time! I can’t wait for next weeks class!

Nighttime

Taylor has been sleeping 8 – 10 hours at night. Which has been wonderful for me. Josh doesn’t even know when he gets up at night during the week so he has been getting a full nights sleep for a while. My body has yet to adjust to Taylor’s long periods of sleep and I still get up in the middle of the night to pump otherwise I’ll have a mess on my hands. I won’t get too graphic for the guys out there who read this blog.

I’m sure that these long periods of sleep with change once his teeth start cutting through so I’m taking it while it lasts.

Storytime

Taylor has also become much more attentive during storytime. He likes the books with the big bright colors like “Very Hungry Caterpillar” and “Clumsy Crab”. His Daddy is also very animated when reading which makes Taylor smile and sometimes laugh.

Wow! I’ve really fallen behind on posting to the blog. Bad Amy! There have been a lot of exciting things happening so I’ll post a couple of posts over the next few days to bring you all up to speed.

Last week we (Taylor, Josh, and I) took a trip up to CT/MA/RI to do the family tour. Taylor got to meet a lot of people:

From the Feierman/Frost Side: Nana & Grampy (Granna was there too)

From the Roy/Carlon Side: Great Grammy Cookie, Great Aunt Ann, Great Aunt Carolyn, Great Aunt Bobo, Cousins Kara & Ada, Great Great Aunt Pat, Great Great Uncle Paul, Great Great Uncle Gordon, Great Great Aunt Carol, Mor-Mor-Far (?), Great Great Grandma Carlson. (Gramzee, Gramps and Tante were there too)

We didn’t meet everyone all at once. That would have been slightly overwhelming for everyone. Instead we spread it out over 4 days and met small groups on each day.

While all of the relatives are special to Taylor’s life only one helps complete 5 living generations – Great Great Grandma Carlson (mormors farmor in Swedish – I think). She is my mother’s father’s mother. She is 105 years old and will be 106 coming up on August 17. She was very excited to meet Taylor. Below is a picture of the 5 generations:

Top Row (l-r) Arnold Carlson (Mor-Far to me), Marji Roy (my Mom)

Bottom Row (l-r) Elsa Carlson (Grandma Carlson to me), Taylor & Me

Of course Taylor won’t remember this meeting, but we have the picture as proof. Maybe he’ll write about it as a 5th grade history project.

Amy
